Congratulations to Our Illinois State Scholars | Posted 12/15/25
Four Newark High School seniors have been named as Illinois State Scholars. This is a recognition awarded by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission. It is given to the top ten percent of high school seniors in the state and reflects exceptional academic achievement throughout high school. Selection is based on a combination of standardized test scores and unweighted GPA. Congratulations to Shae Cotton, Cody Kulbartz, Heather Buhle, and Sadie Pottinger on this outstanding academic honor.
